Is the Andrews University DNP program 100% online?

While all coursework for our Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program is delivered 100 % online, students are required to attend a one-week, in-person intensive skills session during the program. This blended format allows you to balance your studies with work and personal commitments while ensuring you gain essential hands-on experience

What are the entry pathways for the DNP program?

There are two pathways to earning your DNP: 

BSN to DNP – For registered nurses with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
MSN to DNP – For nurses with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).

What specializations are available in the DNP program?

You can choose between two specialized tracks:

- Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – Focused on providing comprehensive primary care across the lifespan.

- Advance Practice Nursing Leadership – Designed for nurses seeking leadership roles in healthcare systems, policy, and education.

How long does it take to complete the program?

Program length depends on your entry pathway and enrollment status: 

BSN to DNP (FNP track): 4.5 years (65 credits, full-time)

- MSN to DNP (FNP track): 3.5 years (56 credits, full-time)

BSN to DNP (Advance Practice Nursing Leadership track): 3.5 years (67 credits, full-time)

- MSN to DNP (Advance Practice Nursing Leadership track): 2.5 years (42 credits, full-time)

Is there a tuition discount available?

Yes! For a limited time, we are offering a 50% tuition discount per credit, making this one of the most affordable DNP programs available.

Can I continue working while enrolled in the DNP program?

Yes! Our fully online format is designed for working professionals, allowing you to advance your education while maintaining your job.
