Is the BSN program accredited?
Yes, the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program at Andrews University School of Nursing are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, 3390 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 1400, Atlanta, GA 30326
The Andrews University nursing program is approved by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
What are the admission requirements?
A minimal overall GPA of 3.0 or higher is required. A cognate GPA of 3.0 or higher is required (BIOL 221, 222, PSYC 201, PSYC 101, CHEM 110, FDNT 230). The Health Education Systems, Inc. (HESI) Admission Assessment (A2) is an entrance exam required for all BSN (Pre-Licensure) applicants. To be considered for admission, applicants must achieve a minimum score of 75% or higher in each of the following areas: Reading Comprehension, Math, Biology, and Anatomy and Physiology English, Language, Math Science. The HESI A2 exam is available in 190 countries and can be taken with remote proctoring through ProctorU.

The application deadline for the professional program is June 15.
Are scholarships or financial aid available?
At Andrews University, we are committed to making quality nursing education accessible and affordable. Every incoming Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) student with a GPA of 3.0 or above is eligible for the Andrews Partnership Scholarship which offers an award of $14,000 annually. This is a GPA based scholarship and students are required to maintain a GPA of at least 3.0 in order to maintain the scholarship. This substantial financial support reflects our dedication to investing in your future, allowing you to focus on your studies and clinical experiences without the burden of financial stress.
Additionally, Andrews University provides other forms of financial assistance, such as grants and named scholarships, to help make your education affordable.

Yes, transfer students are welcome. We evaluate transcripts on a case-by-case basis to ensure your previous coursework aligns with program requirements.

How long does it take to complete the BSN?
The BSN pre-licensure program is completed in four years, including classroom instruction, lab sessions, and clinical experience.
